MVHR Installation
Whether your system has been designed by us or another company, we will install it to a high standard.
We will advise you clearly on the plumbing and electrical requirements for the system, which are very straightforward.
If large holes need coring, we can arrange this or advise you what needs doing. As we are not roofers we do not install roof terminals, this will be a simple job for a roofer and we will provide guidance.
We will maintain airtightness where ducts pass through airtight barriers, using airtight foams, tapes and grommets. All ducts will be fixed firmly so that it will not move during operation.
We are designers as well as installers, so if changes have to be made during installation (and they often do), we will do this without compromising the system.
We will work with you and other trades to ensure a seamless installation from start to finish.
Typical installation, 3 bed house
First fix: 3-5 days
• Install all ducting from the wall or ceiling in the plant room (or wherever the unit is located) to the air valve connection in each room.
• Install ducts in wall for intake and exhaust.
Second fix: 1-2 days
• Install the MVHR unit in place, connect the four main ducts (supply, extract, intake, exhaust) to the unit.
• Install mounting rings, air valves and external grilles.
• Connect up the unit's condensate drain to internal plumbing connection.
• Wire in the controller.
Commissioning: half a day
• Set the air flow rates according to the design.
• Set up all relevant settings.
• Balance the system so that each room has the correct amount of air flow
• Handover to customer.
